She attended advanced weekend courses about Pediatrics and Prenatal care with the International Chiropractic Pediatric Association. She has also been trained in the Atlas Orthogonal Upper Cervical technique. This training was obtained in post graduate studies in 2008 and has furthered Dr. Coleman's ability to provide the highest quality of Chiropractic care to her patients.
Dr. Michelle Coleman is a Webster certified practitioner.
Webster is a technique that removes intrauterine constraint from
pregnant mothers thus allowing a better chance for babies to be in the
normal vertex position for a safe and easier delivery. Mothers who have
experienced a birth after finding the Webster technique often report
quicker, more comfortable and easier labor after having been under care
in comparison to a prior birth when they were not under care.
This technique involves adjustments to the sacrum along with removing tension from the anterior ligaments with gentle soft tissue work to restore balance to the mothers body. This in turn allows the mother to have the least amount of constraint possible on the uterus. This technique is not limited to mothers that have a Breech presentation baby but is much encouraged to be proactive in assisting a normal vertex position of the baby prior to birth.
